Let's Role Goes Open Source & Exciting Updates!

Opening the Code to the Community

In order to foster the continued growth of Let's Role, we are pleased to announce that all game-related code will be open to community contributions by the end of the year. This includes both the frontend and the server code. If you are a TypeScript developer passionate about dependency injection, we invite you to join us in making Let's Role the platform of your dreams!

We will be open-sourcing all code related to the game experience: maps, fog of war, journal, crafting, dynamic lighting, etc. The website, system builder, PDF files, and other side projects of Let's Role will remain closed source. The exact license has not yet been determined, but we will keep you informed.

Evolution of Offers

Starting in October, Play Pass members will no longer automatically receive new original creations each month (dice, frames, cards, etc.). Instead, they will have access to a selection of skins for the duration of their subscription. This may include table skins, character sheet skins, dice, frames, etc. The rotation of these skins will be determined by a monthly vote of VIP members on Discord.

Voyager Play Passes will have access to 8 skins, while Adventurer Play Passes will have access to 20.

The free version of Let's Role will also undergo a change, with a reduction in default storage space to 125MB. If you have a free account that currently uses more than 125MB, you will not lose any media. You simply will not be able to add new ones until you delete some or subscribe to a Play Pass (which offers 6GB to 15GB of storage space).

Website Changes

You may have already noticed, we have a new homepage, more streamlined and designed to allow new visitors to quickly understand what Let's Role is. We have also added a much-requested feature: you can now clone your crafts! In addition, we have replaced the Google reCAPTCHA widgets on our registration and login pages with a more privacy-friendly service.

Support Let's Role

Let's Role exists thanks to Play Passes. If you would like to support the project, subscribe and enjoy many benefits!
